to Cub Scout Pack 214!
Pack
"Two Fourteen" was chartered in February 1971 and has been serving boys in grades 1-5 in the Matthews, NC area. We are
part of the Etowah District in the Mecklenburg County Council and are sponsored by Matthews
United Methodist Church. Many of our boys go on to join Troop 39,
also sponsored by the church. Meetings are on Tuesday evenings at the church, with pack meetings scheduled for the third Tuesday

Scout Sunday -
Pack 214 is scheduled to participate in the 11:00 Sunday service at Matthews United Methodist Church. This is our opportunity to show our appreciation to
the church for their sponsorship as our Charter Organization.
Date: February 13, 2010
Time: 11:00am Service
We will having a practice and run through on the prior Tuesday night on February 8, 2010 at 6:30PM - 7:00PM. Meet outside the Main Church Sanctuary.

Super Trip -
Don't miss out!!! Our annual SUPERTRIP will be March 5th and 6th, 2011. We will leave the church at 6:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5th. We will arrive at
Hunting Island State Park, SC around 10:00 am.
There will be snacks on the bus, but please eat breakfast before boarding the
bus. We will be camping very near the beach. Activities will include, fishing, crabbing, hiking, beach combing, a lighthouse
tour, and a reptile exhibition by the Park Naturalist. We will be cooking dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning.
Sandwiches, chips, and drinks will be provided for lunch on Saturday and the bus will stop for lunch on Sunday. This year
the cost of Supertrip will be $70 per person. A deposit of $45 will secure your spot tonight!!
If you don't, you will miss camping here...

Time Capsule
- The Pack 214 time capsule was sealed at the September 2004
pack meeting as part of the "Time in a Capsule" cub
scout theme. It is scheduled to be opened on September 21, 2029.
